EDINBURGH

Aye Nessie!

Some say never to mix business and pleasure - rubbish. For several months at Surfly I have been running a project with one of the oldest life insurance brands in the world called Scottish Widows. Their innovation Team are a great crack. They invited me to Edinburg to present the results to their management team and naturally I thought it would be a great opportunity to also explore Scotland. Besides drinking a good share of ales and whisky, I also ventured north to the highlands, learned about the Scoti and Picti, visited Urquhart Castle and sailed the legendary Loch Ness where the pretty shy Nessie resides. I was waking up at 5am, exploring the city while quiet which was very zen and also toured Edinburgh Castle where I caught a glimpse of the Stone of Destiny. I learnt a great deal about the rich Scottish history and the hospitality was second to none. Check out my snaps and also check out this bagpipe and marching performance at the Tattoo which I unfortunately missed out on by a few weeks but caught the preparations (takes place through August). Next time!
